How we verify
A badge on this site is our statement, not the facilitator’s. So each one says exactly what we checked, and each one is narrow on purpose.
The short version
- A badge means a specific document was checked against a specific register on a specific date. It is not a recommendation, an endorsement, or a judgement about anyone’s skill.
- We never grant a badge on the strength of a form somebody filled in. A person checks the issuing body directly and records what they saw.
- “Not verified” is a real and common answer, and we show it plainly rather than hiding those listings or dressing them up.
- We take no payment for a badge, and no listing can be ranked higher by paying us.
What each badge means
Checked against a state licence register
Two states run a licensed psilocybin programme. For these listings we look the person up in the state’s own register and record what we saw and when.
Holds an active Oregon Psilocybin Services facilitator license under ORS 475A, verified against the Oregon Health Authority license status tool.

Holds an active Colorado facilitator license under the Natural Medicine Health Act, verified against the DORA license lookup.

Holds a Colorado clinical facilitator license AND an underlying state clinical license. Both are verified independently.

Holds a Colorado Distinguished Educator or Student Facilitator license. These licenses do not permit independent practice, so these listings appear under Educators and never as available facilitators.

Checked against a clinical licence
Ketamine is a legal prescription medicine nationwide when a licensed prescriber administers it. These badges say a clinical licence was checked — nothing about the quality of the care.
A licensed prescriber (MD, DO, NP, or PA) offering ketamine-assisted treatment, verified against their state licensing board and the NPI registry.

Checked against a trial registration
Research sites are verified against their ClinicalTrials.gov registration. Taking part means enrolling in a study, not buying a service.

Some of the most experienced people in this field hold no licence, because no licence exists for what they do. We will not pretend to have verified them.

What a badge does not tell you
A licence is a floor, not a recommendation. It means somebody met a state’s minimum requirements and has not yet been disciplined in a way that removed the licence. It says nothing about whether this person is right for you.
We do not verify training beyond the licence itself, we do not check references, we do not inspect premises, and we do not investigate complaints. We have no reviews and no ratings, because a ratings system on a directory like this rewards marketing rather than care.
Ask to speak to someone before you book. Ask what happens if the day goes badly, who else will be in the room, and what their training actually was. A good facilitator will welcome those questions.
Why some listings were never submitted
Most listings here were compiled from public records — state licence registers and ClinicalTrials.gov — rather than submitted by the person named. We do that because a directory that only contains people who found us first is not much use to somebody searching for help.
Two things follow from that, and we hold to both. Every unclaimed listing says on its face where it came from and links to the source record. And anyone can have their listing taken down, without an account, without explaining themselves, and without waiting for us: it comes off the public site the moment the request is submitted, and a person reviews it afterwards.
We publish a contact detail only where the state itself already publishes it. Oregon’s directory is opt-in and the state filters it before serving it, so a facilitator who did not agree to be listed is not in the data we receive at all. Colorado’s licence register publishes no contact details for anyone, so ours carry none until the facilitator claims the listing and adds them.
Where this data comes from
Every unclaimed listing traces to one of these four public registers. Each is published by the body that issued the licence, and each listing links back to its own source record.

Oregon Health Authority
Oregon publishes an opt-in directory of licensed facilitators and service centres, and filters it before serving it — it holds only licensees who agreed to be listed, and the state says plainly it is not a complete list of everyone licensed. We take the name, licence type, and whatever contact details the state itself publishes for that person.

Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
Colorado publishes its full licence register as public-domain open data, refreshed nightly. We list only facilitators and clinical facilitators whose licence is currently active, and we record the licence number, the expiry date, and a link to the state’s own verification page for each one. This register carries no phone number, email, or website for anybody.

Colorado Department of Revenue — Natural Medicine Division
The Division publishes a map of the healing centres it has licensed. We take the centre’s name, address, and website from it. The map carries no coordinates; the position of every pin on our map is our own, calculated from the published address using the US Census geocoder.

Research sites come from the federal trial registry, and each one is tied to the NCT number of the protocol it is running. A listing here is an invitation to enrol in a study, not to buy a service.

Registers go out of date, licences lapse, and people are sometimes listed under a name they no longer use. If a badge on this site is wrong, tell us at removals@findfacilitators.com and we will check it again. If we cannot re-confirm it, the badge comes off.
Every verification we have ever granted is recorded with the evidence behind it, who checked it, and when. That record exists so a badge can be challenged and answered rather than argued about.
